Refunds and cancellations

Last updated: 26 October 2026. This page covers paid CODEX catalog audio, TRIBUTE, membership and custom builds. Each has its own rules below. Our discretionary refund limits do not restrict rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

Paid CODEX catalog audio

Paid catalog audio is a digital purchase. Payhip handles orders made through its store and provides their download link. Works bought through SIGNAL use PayPal checkout and account-based delivery. The item page and receipt identify your purchase route. Once the agreed file is delivered, the purchase is final under our discretionary policy, subject to the rights below.

If the download link does not work, access is missing or the file is defective, email hello@recursoraudios.com with the item, purchase date and Payhip receipt or PayPal reference. We will help restore delivery or, if we cannot provide the agreed file, refund the purchase. Other remedies may apply to a product that does not meet mandatory consumer guarantees. An audio purchase does not guarantee a personal, physical or psychological result.

TRIBUTE

TRIBUTE is a voluntary payment to support RECURSOR. It is not a purchase, deposit or subscription. You choose the amount before PayPal checkout, and no physical item is shipped. Completed TRIBUTE payments are final. We do not offer cancellations, returns or refunds.

Membership

You can cancel renewal at any time from your SIGNAL account or manage the automatic payment in PayPal. Account cancellation stops future renewal and access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. If the cancellation fails, contact us promptly with your subscription reference. Do not assume that deleting an app, signing out or turning off notifications cancels a subscription.

Monthly payments are not refunded pro rata under our discretionary policy. Yearly payments are refunded in full if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment. There are no discretionary refunds after that window. If you qualify for the yearly refund, cancel renewal and email hello@recursoraudios.com with your account email, PayPal subscription reference and first payment date so we can arrange it. Cancelling renewal and receiving a refund are separate steps. This contact process does not remove any refund right that has already arisen.

Free membership has no payment and no end date. Ending a paid membership returns you to free membership. Nothing you wrote is deleted.

Custom builds

Applying is free. Payment is taken only after your application is accepted. Before paying, review the accepted brief, tier, total, delivery schedule and any specific cancellation terms supplied with your offer. Ask us to resolve an unclear term before payment. A payment request does not override your mandatory legal rights.

If you need to cancel, email us promptly with your request reference and explain whether production or delivery has begun. We will review the accepted terms, work completed and applicable law. If the delivered work misses a point agreed in your brief or has a technical error, tell us what is missing so we can assess the correction included in the offer. A different creative direction is a new request. Required remedies for failure to provide the agreed service remain available regardless of discretionary correction limits.

Your rights

Nothing on this page removes a right that applicable law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. This includes any right to cancel or to a refund where local consumer law provides one.

Australian Consumer Law can require a repair, replacement, repeat service, refund or compensation, depending on the product or service and the seriousness of the failure. A change of mind is different from a failure to meet a consumer guarantee. Overseas location does not by itself remove applicable Australian consumer protections.

EU and UK distance-contract rules can provide a withdrawal period. For digital content, losing that right can require your express consent to immediate supply, acknowledgment that the withdrawal right will be lost, and confirmation of that agreement. Delivery or streaming alone does not establish those requirements. Service and custom-work cancellation rules can differ from digital-download rules. Contact us to exercise an applicable right; our discretionary time limits do not shorten a statutory deadline.

Payment problems

If checkout appears to fail, or you are charged but do not receive confirmation, do not pay again to resolve the uncertainty. Email hello@recursoraudios.com with the PayPal order or transaction reference, amount and date. Do not send card numbers or payment credentials. We will investigate the transaction status. PayPal may also have a dispute process under its own rules.

Tell us about a duplicate or unauthorised charge even if the underlying product or TRIBUTE is normally final. Contact your payment provider promptly where account security is involved. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment route where available. Your provider controls when a refund appears and any currency conversion. We do not promise a settlement date that the payment provider controls. Keep the payment reference and our correspondence.
